stoneware Tortoise garden statue! This is a particularly good sculpture
based on the artist's
own pet tortoises. There is very fine detail in the rings on the shell
as well
as in the scales on the front legs. Even his little tail has not been
forgotten! When looking at him head-on, his head is turned lightly to
the
right. He is standing on a stony plinth bearing the manufacturer's
copyright
mark (HGC) and artist's initials (SR) at the rear. The total length from
the
tip of his nose to the back of the plinth is about 11", making him an
ideal,
life-like size for use in any garden. Suitable as a garden statue or
ornament he would look great placed on a lawn or
patio, or on the edge of a border or rockery and would also be suitable
as a tortoise memorial for a beloved pet. This Tortoise garden statue
measures 30cm in length and weighs 9kg.
